| The Fishing Boat |
|

The fishing boat was moored by the side of the street.
The fishermen had been fishing and returned with their catch.
They were selling fish from the boats.
The boats were very colorful with their nets and the buoys and the
things around the deck.
They were moored right next to the street.
There were no cars or wheeled traffic on the Island of Paros.
People travelled here by boat or ferry, and they walked around the
island or hired a donkey for their parcels.
The fishing boat looked very peaceful moored here.

The outdoor cafe on the Island of Paros in Greece had many colors.
The sea in the harbour was blue and fishing
boats lined the pier selling fresh fish.
The traveller could sit at one of these colorful red
tables, and look across the grey and colored paved street, to see the blue water and sky
and the white houses on the sides.
What colors can you see in the picture?
What color is your world? What colors are around you now?
Make a list of the different colors you can see in this picture, and the things that
are of the same color.
